The title of this piece is derived from the word "juxtaposed," meaning to place side by side, especially for comparison or contrast, and the name "Jungst." It is dedicated to the memory of Rudy Jungst, the first band director of Morton Jr. High School, and is a rhythmic, high-energy, multi-meter showcase for band. (4:00) Level: 4.5 (Medium Advanced)

A tuneful way to introduce students to the lyrical style and rollicking feel of traditional Scottish/Irish music. The "Air" is the melody from Gilderoy and is set with a contemporary harmonic palette that concludes with an exciting climax before transitioning to the jig.
