After much discussion with the commissioning band's insightful director, Kimberly Conklin, she and I decided on the premise for the commission. Kim shared a collection of poems and drawings by children from the Terezin Concentration Camp from 1942-1944. Terezin (in the current Czech Republic) was a \ghetto\"" and a holding area for displaced Jews awaiting their fate at one of the more infamous concentration camps. Still"""""""""""""""
